Let’s Get Cooking!
Children in Year 4 were given the opportunity to attend an after-school cooking club each week last half term. They were able to gain skills in food hygiene, safe use of cooking utensils and following recipes. Apple crumble, muffins, pizza and pasta bake were just of the dishes the children created. WOW Day Fun – Spark, Pop, Bang! We Launched Our New Topic in Spectacular Style!
We have had GREAT day today launching our new topic for this half term, which is called “SPARKLE & SHINE: CELEBRATIONS AND NATIIVITY PERFOMANCE” We started our WOW Day with a bang! We shared our prior knowledge about celebrations and talked about the different events that people celebrate, which we already knew about. The Harvest Festival
Chaffinches and Robins ran a brilliantly successful Harvest Festival. They worked so hard to create a festival to be celebrated. We had farmer peg dolls, clay leaf coasters, homemade bread, autumn soup, wheelbarrows and lots more on sale. The children worked on their enterprising skills by selling the items they made. It was a wonderful event that ended in a film that the children made all about ‘Anston Greenlands Nursery’.…
