For Snowy Owls and Golden Eagles, the autumn term was about one thing: creating our own Horrible Histories films! It was a really exciting project, full of scriptwriting, dramatic talent and historical research into the “Rotten Romans”. Of course, all of that was building up to one spectacular event… the Horrible Histories Film Evening.
The evening itself was a huge success; the audience was kept very well entertained by our fantastic films and several members of the press were present, thanks to the hard work of our press officers. The children also ran enterprising stalls, raising over £300 for DEC (the Disasters Emergency Committee) – a charity they chose after role-playing the infamous events of Pompeii in 79AD, which gave them an insight into the devastating impact of natural disasters.
