Butterflies and ‘bossy’ verbs!

Hi everyone!

We are learning about butterflies this week and in particular their life cycle.  Lots of great vocabulary from metamorphosis to pupa and chrysalis!

We have made hats to help us to remember the four stages see below.

We have also made clothes peg butterflies and have written our own instructions on how to make them.  You could try at home. Remember those imperative verbs – Little Miss/Mr Bossy!

In maths, we are practising counting forwards and backwards in 2s, 5s and 10s up to 100!.  We all need to keep this up, as it will help us when we learn to multiply and divide. There are some great videos on Youtube to help with counting. Also, the latest game on the School Jam app is very useful.  It focuses on Place Value and there is a video for parents too. If you need your password and log in details sending, just let me know.

All aboard 4

Last but by no means least, a big ‘well done’ to all those Robins who are continuing to work hard at home.  Some of the work that you have sent in has been amazing – some excellent poets in our midst!! Keep checking Activelearn and this page for updates.

Take care everyone and thank you for all of your hard work, whether you are at home or at school.
