On Monday and Tuesday, the Golden Eagles and Snowy Owls launched their new topic by finding out all about the Hindu festival of Makar Sankranti.
The children designed and created kites, researched and produced a presentation all about the festival and decorated the class cow with beautiful paper origami flowers. Additionally, we made delicious Indian sweets: chocolate barfi and coconut ladoo.
At the end of the day on Tuesday, we had the opportunity to taste the sweets and fly the kites. As you can see, some of the kites were more successful than others!
