As a way of bringing our term’s work to a close, we visited the Tesco store in Dinnington to do a ‘Farm to Fork’ trail. We were allowed to go everywhere around the store to see how food gets from the farm to the shelves in Tesco and where our food comes from. We met in the back of the store to collect our clipboards, which had a number of challenges, and we had to go round the store to find answers to them.
Here are some of the things we had to do. We tested food in the deli.
We felt the fish.
We checked the produce in the freezers and chillers.
We checked out at the tills and got our receipts.
