Hi to all Chaffinches,
I hope you are keeping well and I am missing you, but I know you are at home keeping safe.
Well done to those of you who’ve logged on to Active learn – I can see how busy you’ve been! If some of you have problems with logging on, then please email me at school. Also, please email me with any other questions or email me with work that your child is particularly proud of – I look forward to seeing it.
This week in maths, we’ll focus on subtraction. Your number bond knowledge is very important for this and you can again use related facts to help you subtract smaller numbers and can use a number line to help you subtract larger numbers.

When you log on to Active Learn you’ll see you’ve been allocated some maths challenges to do. Please have a go!
Also on Active Learn, I have allocated you some phonics work and a task about conjunctions that we use in our writing.
Reading challenge
This week, when you’ve read a book, please make a storyboard to sequence the story, just like we did when we sequenced the Great Fire of London.
Writing
I have missed reading your writing and so I’d like you to write me a letter about what you’ve been up to over the past few weeks. Try to write as independently as possible and you can either post me your letter to school, or send a photo of it via email to school.
I look forward to reading about what you’ve been up to, and seeing how much your handwriting has improved!
🙂
