The Snowy Owls had a fantastic, packed day at Crucial Crew in Hellaby on Monday. In the morning, Y6 pupils found out about Safe@Last, fire safety, road safety and how to use public transport responsibly. Over the afternoon, the children took part in a courtroom scenario (with a rather chilling trip to a prison cell). They also learnt about eSafety in an internet café and found out about peer pressure in a supermarket. First Aid was also covered in an informative and fun workshop.
All of the children threw themselves into each activity with real enthusiasm. Their contributions to the discussions and scenarios were superb. Throughout the day, pupils were very lucky to work with a wide range of knowledgeable professionals from a variety of backgrounds.
