The Snowy Owls had a fantastic, packed day at Crucial Crew in Hellaby on Tuesday. In the morning, Y6 pupils found out about internet safety and how to keep safe around strangers. First Aid was also covered in an informative and fun workshop. Additionally, the children took part in a courtroom scenario (with a rather scary trip to a prison cell). Over the afternoon they found out about responsible public transport use, how to stay safe when crossing the road and what to do in the event of a house fire.
The pupils threw themselves into each activity with enthusiasm. Their contributions to the discussions and scenarios were superb. Adults from school were all very proud of the children’s excellent knowledge and their fabulous performance skills. Throughout the day, pupils were very lucky to work with a wide range of knowledgeable professionals from a variety of backgrounds. In particular, the children enjoyed the role-playing scenarios, such as the court room; as you can see, we all thought the bus driver was very cool!
