The Snowy Owls had a fantastic, packed day at Crucial Crew in Hellaby on Thursday 4th October. In the morning, Y6 pupils found out about responsible public transport use, how to stay safe when crossing the road, the consequences of arson and what to do in the event of a house fire. Over the afternoon, First Aid was covered in an informative and fun workshop. Additionally, the children took part in a courtroom scenario (with a rather scary trip to a prison cell).
The pupils threw themselves into each activity with enthusiasm. Their contributions to the discussions and scenarios were superb. Adults from school were all very proud of the children’s excellent knowledge and their fabulous performance skills. Throughout the day, pupils were very lucky to work with a wide range of knowledgeable professionals from a variety of backgrounds. In particular, the children enjoyed the role-playing scenarios, such as the court room; as you can see, we all thought the bus driver was very cool!
