We have been learning about the season autumn, so there’s never been a better excuse to take a walk in our new outside environment. We also had new wellies to put to the test, so off we went!
Mrs Marriott asked us to collect leaves for our small world area and our upcoming craft activities. She wanted a variety of coloured leaves and also leaves of varying sizes. We were fantastic at this!
We managed to find leaves that were green, brown, burning red, golden yellow and vivid orange.
We will be looking closely at the leaves through magnifying glasses and identifying leaves that are the same, similar and different.
We then went into the woodland area, where we discovered some fabulous seats.
We decided to make good use of the seats.
First, we all sat and listened to the environmental sounds. Then Mrs Marriott read us a story.
Finally, we went and had a splashing time!
Our wellies were definitely up for the job – and looked great, too!
