What an amazing experience the Year 5 and Year 6 children had in Murton Park on Wednesday 13th November. To start the day, we had a tour of the Roman fort, looking at the barracks, the workshops and of course, the communal toilets!
We spent the morning as Auxiliary Soldiers, taking part in weapons practice, forming a Testudo, making our very own oil lamps and carrying out administrative work in the Headquarters.
In the afternoon, the Centurion very kindly allowed us to use the unique facilities to record several of our Horrible Histories sketches and music videos. Filming on location was a fantastic experience for the children and added an extra dimension to our episode.
