On the evening of Thursday 17th March, the Year 5 and Year 6 children organised a whole school talent show.
Two acts from every class in school were voted into the finals by their peers. There was an amazing range of talent on show: dance, singing, comedy, magic and gymnastics. The children exceeded expectations, putting on a great event for the local community and leaving the judges with a very difficult task!
Members of Golden Eagles and Snowy Owls took on a range of roles throughout the evening, from introducing the acts to selling refreshments; from providing technical support to organising a raffle; from mentoring the acts to taking photos.
A few weeks ago, the children voted that all proceeds from the night should go to Cancer Research UK; before the interval, two pupils gave a short speech about why this charity was chosen. Just over £200 was raised for this worthy cause.
What a great night!
