Last half term we studied tropical rainforests, but now we are homing in on our own locality with a particular focus on forests and woodlands around us.
We begin our learning journey with a novel study of ‘Into the Forest’ by Anthony Browne. Firstly, the children used percussion instruments to recreate a storm. Next, they recreated the breakfast scene, using drama techniques to help them to describe how a character is feeling and what they might be thinking. Currently, the children are in the process of creating an e mail from the boy’s point of view.
