What an exciting half term we have had so far!
In science, our topic has been sound. The children investigated different instruments to identify that sounds are made through vibrations. Working outside, they observed how the sounds got fainter as they moved further away from the sound source and the children also explored how to change the pitch and volume of different instruments.
The children have loved investigating the sounds of some African instruments such as the Kalimba and djembe drums. Using their knowledge of sound and African instruments, the children have designed and made some fantanstic instruments.
