Marie Curie – Mini Pots of Care Afternoon!

On Thursday the 21st February it was our ‘Marie Curie Mini Pots of Care’ afternoon. The children in Wrens, Robins and Chaffinches all participated in various activities. Firstly they decorated their ‘Mini Pots of Care’, which we had planted in school in October 2013. The children helped us care for these.

Then the children decorated their daffodil hats. This made them look more the part!!!

Then they drew daffodils.

The children also had the opportunity to visit the toy and book sale, which once again was set up by our fabulous volunteers.

They could also help to create a coin daffodil picture. This turned out brilliantly!!

After our fabulous afternoon we sent your child home with their ‘Mini Pots of Care’ for you to look after now. Please take good care of it and you will be rewarded with a beautiful daffodil.

At the end of this day we were amazed to find out we had already raised £143 for the charity Marie Curie. We want to try to raise as much as possible for this fantastic charity, so if you  are planning to donate any more money, please do so in the envelope your child came home with on Thursday and return it to school no later than Monday the 10th March.

Thankyou for your support

Mrs Marriott
