Merlins have got off to a great start in our numeracy, by working with 3 digit numbers: adding them, rounding them and making the biggest possible number or the smallest possible number with them.
We have also been using our thinking skills to Think through Maths. We were given a problem of organising how rows of tiles would be placed on Mrs Adams kitchen wall, so that they all started in the same place and finished in the same place. Sound easy? Not when the tiles come in packs of twos and threes. We had to think about ratio and then use our multiplication tables as well as lots of thinking and working together.
