Oh we do like to be ‘Beside the Seaside’ ……..

Wrens and Robins certainly absorbed the sounds, sights and smells of the seaside today.

First, we started off travelling by train to the sea front. The children absolutely loved this and couldn’t wait for the return journey later.

Once we arrived at the station, we decamped and set off walking down the beach to the restaurant for lunch. We certainly loved the sea air and getting the sand between our toes as the children quickly took their shoes and socks off!

The walk took us quite a while with our little legs, but everyone managed it!

The children were very hungry after their long walk, so we headed for the restaurant. The staff in the restaurant were so welcoming and gave us all five star treatment! Look they even reserved our tables for us…..

The traditional fish and chips tasted delicious and some children actually managed to clean their plates.

It was then time to go and have fun on the beach.

Well we couldn’t come all the way to the seaside without a paddle in the sea.

After paddling in the sea some children went and explored the beach. The excitement was clear for all to see when these children found crabs!

They also collected shells and pebbles to add to our small world area.

The walk back up the beach was a lot harder, but we arrived in time to catch the train back.

What a busy, but fun day we had at Cleethorpes.

Happy children for all to see!!
