Our class celebrated the completion of our interesting topic this term by holding a medieval banquet. We researched all the different jobs in the castle, prepared a magnificent feast for Lady Anne, the Lady of Greenlands Castle, and entertained her as she ate. She thoroughly enjoyed the poetry celebrating her wonderful castle and the jesters, jugglers and acrobats, who delighted her with their talents. We finished the banquet by dancing a Pavane and singing “Greensleeves”. Lady Anne was so impressed by our festivities that she allowed us to sleep by the open fire as the minstrels sang us to sleep with a lullaby.
