We have spent this term finding out about life in the Great Hall. We know what people wore, what they ate, how they entertained themselves and what the jobs were for the servants in the Hall. We celebrated on 28th November with a magnificent banquet to which we invited our parents and grandparents. Forty guests attended the banquet at Greenlands Castle and we prepared and served all the food then we entertained our guests with poetry, juggling, jokes and acrobatics, followed by a stately pavane dance and a heart rending version of “Greensleeves”. We sent our guests an evaluation and their feedback was very positive – they loved the event and were particularly impressed with the children’s efforts. Congratulations Chaffinches on an amazing banquet!
