It is no longer a legal duty for schools to provide remote education. The guidance from the government suggests schools maintain capabilities to deliver high quality education in some circumstances “as a short term measure and as a last resort.”
We will provide remote education for students who cannot access school for the following reasons:
- Circumstances that prevent students accessing school on a long term basis for example; due to severe medical conditions or hospitalisation.
- Unforeseen school closure during term time, e.g. due to inclement weather. This may include partial closure due to staff shortages.
This remote education will be set by class teachers and shared with parents via email. It may include use of online platforms subscribed to by school, e.g. Doodle Learning, TTRockstars, Spelling Frame, as well as bespoke activities set by our teachers. Students without online access will be provided with alternative activities where appropriate.
