I’d like to share one of my favourite mathematical games with you. You can play this online or make your own simple game board and play against someone at home. (Even better – work it out by playing online and then challenge an adult!) Start with two frogs on either side then increase. If you find out the minimum number of moves each time, you should soon start to see a pattern.
