Last week was our first ever STEM Careers Fair. The aim of it was to provide children with an insight as to what careers there are at the moment in the STEM field of work: Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. The children in KS2 enjoyed listening to and speaking to Microbiology and Biochemists, a Science Agricultural researcher, a Chemical Engineer, Geologists, a Fabrication Engineer, an Environmental Deputy Site Operations Manager, a representative from AMRC and Manufacturing Engineers. These experts were able to explain to the children how they can become engineers, scientists, etc and were rewarded by the children asking some brilliant questions and being very enthusiastic to learn. What a great event it was!
