Two weeks ago, Anston Greenlands took two teams along to Dinnington Comprehensive to compete in both Y3/4 and Y5/6 tag rugby tournaments!
Y5/6 played very well as a team and managed to place 4th in the tournament of schools in our area. Y3/4 did amazingly well to win the tournament for their age range after a nail-biting decider match!
Last week, the Y3/4 team went on to compete against the wider Rother Valley school teams and we are so proud to report that they also won this second round tournament to become Rother Valley champions!
Mr Parry and Miss Taylor were extremely impressed with the attitude of all the players and were astounded by the progress the children made from game to game! The children should be very proud of their achievements!
We are hoping to go on to compete against other teams in South Yorkshire and will keep you all informed with our events and progress!
