Merlins and Ospreys spent a fantastic day at Murton Park, where from the minute they arrived they joined the Roman Army. They dressed like auxiliaries, learnt about the variety of weapons that the soldiers used, wrote in Roman script and numerals and made pots in the workshop. The children were an absolute credit to the school and to themselves and were all successful in earning their wage – a roman coin and a certificate!
