Hello Merlins!
Well done to those of you who continue to complete the tasks on Active Learn and those who are flying through the allocated books. Remember to keep logging all your superb reading in your reading diaries!
In this week’s Active Learn, I have allocated two grammar and spelling games with a focus on suffixes and prefixes. I have also uploaded 5 more books for those book worms who continue making great progress getting through them all!
In maths, the focus is measurement, in particular time and perimeter.
To continue with the measurement theme, this week’s maths investigation is called How Long Does It Take? Click on the link below to access it.
Additionally, Whiterose Maths have also uploaded the lessons for this week with a focus on money. I think this will be extremely useful for you. Click on the link below.

Finally, on Friday 8th May 2020 Britain will be commemorating the 75th anniversary of VE Day when the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe. A great way to share your pride in our country and honour the men and women of WW2 could be to make your very own special VE Day 75 ‘Great British Bunting’ to display in your windows and or gardens.
The BBC Make A Difference website has all the instructions you need to get started using any paper, cereal boxes, string, sweet wrappers, felt pens, poster paint; you can use whatever you find. You can decorate your bunting with pictures of whatever inspires you, whether it’s those who fought on the frontline or worked hard on the homefront, or whether it’s a celebration of enduring peace or your own personal superhero.
Hang your bunting up this weekend and send your pictures to contact@greenlandsprimary.org. We’ll share your photos on the school website.
