Hello everybody, I hope that you are all staying safe and well. I hope you’ve all enjoyed having a look at the School Jam App and having a go at Block 2 last week – Part – Whole within 10.
Following on from this, if you get chance this week, have a look at Block 3: Addition and subtraction within 10 (1) – Balance the Bridge.
In this game, the children can familiarise themselves with all the different equipment we use when teaching addition, such as tens frames, dienes sticks and cubes along with the addition and equals sign. The children have to recognise that the same number can be represented in different ways.
If you’re really confident, then why not have a look at Block 4: Addition and subtraction within 10 (2) – Cloud and Seek which introduces subtraction too.
