What a busy week in Robins!

On Monday, Robins received their first of two visitors this week. Mr Greaves came to talk to us about knights and their armour. It was great fun as we were able to try on helmets and chain mail. Everything was very heavy!

The enthusiasm and excitement then reached fever pitch as the children received several clues to help them hunt for a friendly phonics dragon. Using an old treasure map, the children worked well in teams to find a selection of graphemes that were hidden in the school grounds. They then used their fantastic knowledge of phonics to spell lots of words. Eventually, with all the clues found and the problems solved, we found our friendly dragon, who is now living in our classroom and will be helping us in our Phonics lessons.
