Robins and Chaffinches launched their new topic today with a fun-packed Wow Day. During this term we will be learning about our local area, discovering areas of interest, identifying important buildings and learning about local history. The children were very excited when they found out that during the term, we will be designing and building our own mini golf course, which will incorporate buildings found in Anston and Dinnington. Today we started our project by venturing out into our local area and looking at local buildings, including identifying some of our own homes on the way. Back at school, we started making models of the buildings that we saw on our walk and we had our first taste of playing golf. At the end of the term we will be inviting parents in to school to play golf and to evaluate our ‘Mini Anston’ golf course.
