The children at Anston Greenlands experienced a very interesting and delicious assembly. Mebby and Patronella wanted to show everyone how to cook and eat Nshima, which is a local dish served daily in Zambia.
Nshima is made from maize meal, a very popular ingredient which is also used for making porridge. The children thoroughly enjoyed watching our special friends in action and couldn’t wait to try the local Zambian dish! They were even more excited about having to use their hands to eat rather than a traditional knife and fork. Nshima has to be rolled into the palm of your hand and then it is used as a spoon to scoop up stews.
