We are so pleased to announce that Wrens have also been shortlisted for a Roscar (Rotherham’s version of the Oscars).
We entered our film, which involved the children using the ‘Pie Corbett’ approach to re-telling familiar stories. We focused our film on the well-known story ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. Using this approach has helped the children to develop their storytelling skills, but also learn more about connectives.
This event is going to be held at Rotherham’s New York Stadium on June 20th. We have been very lucky again this year to be able to invite our parents/carers to this fantastic event. Fingers crossed we bring home a ROSCAR or two! What ever the outcome though, the children have done extremely well to be shortlisted from the many that entered.
