Wrens have loved celebrating Christmas at school!

We have been very busy this half term learning all about how and why we celebrate Christmas and how other countries celebrate it too. They have also learnt about other significant times people celebrate and why.

Here we are decorating the class Christmas tree.

We got a visitor too. He was a bit mischievous!

We made party crowns/Christmas lunch crowns.

We then obviously had a party and had our first school Christmas lunch.

We went on the stage and performed in front of an audience (A BIG ONE too!!)

We wore our Christmas jumpers.

Santa came to see us too at our Christmas party and gave us all a present.

We learnt about Hanukkah and created a ‘Star of David’, which we displayed in our classroom window.

We learnt about Diwali and created some Rangoli patterns.

We also learnt about how other countries celebrate Christmas. The children thought it was funny that Santa had to change into his shorts when he arrived in Australia, due to the change in climate.

We took part in a Santa dash, and went to the pantomime to finish our celebrations off with a BANG!

Happy Christmas everyone. Thank you for your support this term.

See you in the NEW YEAR!
