Zambia 2014 visit

We are having an amazing time in Kalulushi. We arrived late Friday night after a 28 hour journey. On Saturday we visited the Nsobe Game Reserve where we travelled around in a jeep. We saw a variety of antelopes like bush buck, sabel, kudu, waterback and puku. We also saw a giraffe and a herd of zebras.

Early Sunday morning we visited an Evangelist church. Justin, our bus driver, was the local Pastor who delivered a very lively and moving service. We did lots of singing and even performed ‘Bonse Abba’ with Justin and his choir.

Yesterday we visited the District Education Board of Kalulushi and visted the seven partnership schools. Each school we visited were very friendly and happy. Even the staff were pleased to see us! Many schools provided us with a buffet lunch of the local dish (beef stew and nshima).

Finally, the children at Twayuka school were very excited and welcoming for the first day of teaching. Today I have been teaching the children simple chants, songs and circle games using the parachute. Mabby, who is the head teacher, has given me lots of lovely letters written by the children for our school. I can’t wait to hand them over!P1000806P1000910P1000890P1000887P1000954
